Total War: Warhammer III Set to Release in Late 2021

Creative Assembly, the developers behind the commercially successful game franchise of Total War, announced their newest entry. The British developer announced the third edition of Total War: Warhammer with Total War: Warhammer III.

Total War: Warhammer is the turn based tactical game. The game uses the characters from the popular Games Workshop series of Warhammer characters. The first game of the franchise released in 2016 and instantly became a classic in the Warhammer universe.

This is their first Total War game in 4 years since the release of Total War: Warhammer II in 2017. The game will release for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store in the end of 2021.

Warhammer III will have an array of characters to choose from

In a FAQ post released by the developers, Warhammer III will allow for an extensive collection of characters to choose from. The game will introduce four ruinous powers in Nurgle, Slaanesh, Khorne and Tzeentch. It will also have the two factions in the Mighty Warriors of Kislev and the Empire of Grand Cathay. The trailer showcased the mystical Ice Queen of Kislev, who will become one of the most integral characters of the game.

The game will release with Nine playable Legendary Lords. It will remain in the same period as of the reign of Karl Franz, just like its predecessors. The characters will come from the 8th edition of Warhammer Fantasy Battles and a few previous edition characters will also arrive in the game.

A combined map will be available as a free DLC

The developers also announced that a combined map of all the three Total War games. It will be available for free for the people who own the copies of all the three games. The developer also announced the release of one more DLC for Total War: Warhammer II before the release of Warhammer III.

Fans of the franchise and the Warhammer Universe can finally end their wait of 4 years and get cracking with new strategies and tactics in one of the most iconic strategy gaming franchise ever.
