With Vivo smartphone to be this year’s sponsors, the removal of Rajasthan and Chennai and addition of two new fanchises in the form of Gujarat and Pune, the auction couldn’t have been more interesting than in the previous years.
With over 350 players to go under the hammer in this year’s auction, there were many smart buys by the teams such as Gujarat and Hyderabad but we also got to see some bizarre buys today which left everyone surprised.
Delhi, for instance, decided to shell out 8.5 crores for the uncapped Indian all- rounder Pawan Negi, more than what RCB payed for Yuvraj, making him the highest paid Indian in this year’s auction.

Stars such as Mike Hussey, Martin Guptill, Usman Khwaja, Dilshan,George Bailey etc. went unsold which raised some eyebrows.
EssentiallySports brings you the reactions from the surprised, happy and shocked people on twitter who witnessed this bizarre auction-
