Point guard is right now the deepest position in the NBA. Lots of good point guards are not going to make the list because either others have been just terrific or their teams are struggling.
Honourable Mentions
Rajon Rondo: Leads the league in assists. Is a triple double threat on any given day. But he doesn’t have the greatest reputation especially after the short stint with Mavs. Being probably the worst free throw shooter among the guards and playing for Kings hurts his case.

Kyrie Irving: a.k.a Uncle Drew is the best ball handler in the league. The only reason he is not in top 5 is because he lost significant amount of time due to knee injury. But he is back and has a chance to regain his spot among the best.
John Wall: Team is struggling.
Isiah Thomas: There was lots of competition between the 5th guy and him for the final spot. Has been really good this year but fails to make the cut.
5. Damian Lillard
8th in the league in scoring at 24.2ppg and 9th in assists, he is doing everything the Blazers want him to do. But the team is just not good enough to make the playoffs. Has missed some games for the first time in his career. He is back though and his great stats give him the spot he deserves.
4. Kyle Lowry
Kyle Lowry is playing the best basketball of his career. He is averaging 20.6 points and 6.5 assists per game. He is in better shape than last year where he looked fatigued in the playoffs. The results have been good as Raptors are 4th in the East as of today.
3. Chris Paul
Lots of people might not agree with this and think he should have been lower this year. His scoring is down (17.7ppg). He is shooting just 32.3% from threes this season. But we must not forget he is still the point god and can turn things around quickly. We should however expect him to play better when Blake Griffin returns.
2.Russell Westbrook

He might be the only point guard in the league who can get 15 rebounds in a game. He is a triple double threat everyday. He and Kevin Durant form the most dynamic duo in the league.
