The Last of Us Part II

The story is set in the post-apocalyptic United States and the events pick up 5 years after The Last of Us (released in 2013). Ellie, a 19-year old girl, gets into a conflict with a mysterious Christian Cult and has to survive against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by the mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus. Captivating and horrifying at the same time, The Last of Us Part II looks as promising as its first installment.

Ghost of Tsushima

This Sekiro style RPG title from Sucker Punch Productions takes you to Tsushima Island, Japan, in the year 1274. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise to fight back against the Mongolian invaders using a new fighting strategy: the way of the ghost. This action-adventure stealth game features a vast open-world that can be explored without guidance.

Okay, this is by far THE most anticipated game of 2020 since the trailer dropped at the E3 2019. Cyberpunk 2077 comprises the most elaborate scale of story-driven, open-world RPG experience, set in a futuristic noir setting. The stunning visuals, courtesy of REDengine4, along with a gripping story and lawless gameplay, make it the most hyped game of the year, and we sure hope it lives up to it.

The year has had its share of setbacks, but it also promises to be a big one when it comes to video games. With the next-gen consoles set to release towards the end of the year, we can expect a horde of games to follow. However, even without the next-gen games, we won’t be left wanting.
