23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams shared an embarrassing yet comical experience on her Instagram story. In a strange event, the American accidentally took her dog’s medicine before going to bed last night.

Through a series of Instagram stories, Williams revealed being so exhausted before going to bed that she mistakenly took her dog’s medicine – thinking it was her nighttime medication.

“Okay. I’m a little tired. It’s been a long day. Going to bed and I took my dog’s medicine. I just wasn’t thinking. I was like okay – nightly meds. Took it. That’s how tired I am,” said Williams.

Serena Williams takes a dig at herself

Trolling herself, Williams told her fans not to ignore her if she barks or acts strangely on social media. After sharing the hilarious story, Williams, dressed in a white tee and a colorful shower cap, posted a selfie with an embarrassing expression on her face.

“So just heads up, If I start acting weird or I start barking on social then just can’t ignore me. She’s like 6 pounds. I should be okay? Just in case I’m not, it’s kind of wild, right?” said Williams.

The 40-year-old has the most entertaining social media account among tennis players. She regularly uploads interesting videos with her cute little daughter Olympia, which has become a tremendous hit with the fans. Whether it’s posing for a photoshoot, baking a chocolate cake, to taking tennis lessons, Olympia is always by her mother’s side.

Meanwhile, Williams hasn’t played since retiring from her first-round match at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. She skipped the US Open citing a torn hamstring and would hopefully return at the start of the 2022 season.

Since winning the 2017 Australian Open, Williams has been aiming to equal Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles. Despite having reached four Grand Slam finals over the past four years, Williams has been on the losing side each time. The quest for the 24th Grand Slam title now seems elusive than ever.
