The past couple of seasons in Fortnite have been nothing short of absolute bangers. We saw the Marvel-themed Season 4, which was action-packed and made the community fall in love with the game all over again. The following season saw a huge number of collaborations and the addition of content.

Last season also saw the addition of NPCs into the game, which increased the amount of action. Epic Games knows how to engage its community by maintaining the relevance of the game and giving the players what they love. However, things seem to have gone downhill in the current season.

From what it looks like, there is growing dissatisfaction among the community with Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6. Many have even called this season the worst one ever. The dissatisfaction is such that the hashtag “#RipFortnite” has grown hugely popular. And it is not just the regular players; many of the pros have voiced their disappointment with this season as well.

“I think the season right now is not horrible”: SypherPK on Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6

The iconic streamer had conducted an online poll recently to see how the community feels about this season. With a major lead over the other options, 46% of the community voted for “It’s good!” On the other hand, 15% of the community members think that this is “THE WORST SEASON”.

As for Sypher, he agrees that this season does have certain drawbacks. Although he does not believe the notion that the game is dead, he does agree that this season has not been a good one so far for competitive players.

“The season has only been out for like, ten days. I think it’s a little too soon to say RIP Fortnite because Epic could make some very big changes and even some small changes, to make competitive feel like they have the attention they deserve.”

Sypher went on to say, “I think the season right now is not horrible. Especially from a content perspective, it’s really fun. From the competitive side of things, there are some very valid concerns.”

It is true, no doubt, that a lot of changes that Epic has made in the game are not sitting well with many pros out there. A major example of this would be the removal of wagers. Moreover, this season saw the rampant increase of stream sniping as well.

We hope Epic Games takes notice of this soon and does the needful as it always seems to.
