Fans all over the world have been extremely excited ever since Playstation announced a remaster of the original two installments of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. But, it gets better. On June 23, Playstation announced that it will be adding a whole new roster of the current pro skaters as well. These include Lizzie Armanto, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Riley Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Tyshawn Jones, Aori Nishimura, and Shane O’Neill. This is the ‘new generation’ of skaters inspired by Tony Hawk and the original roster of iconic skaters.

Since the announcement of the game in May 2020, the hype around it has been unreal. ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2’, as they call, it is a blend of the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Pro Skater 2. The THPS games did well in their time but only up to THPS Underground 2 launched in 2004. Following the failure of THPS 5 in 2015, the licensing deal between Tony Hawk and Activision expired. This practically meant the end of the franchise
This remaster will have all the features of the original games right from the original levels, characters (including the ‘Birdman’ Tony Hawk himself), etc. This includes an online multiplayer mode, ‘build your own park’ mode wherein people can access your park and vice-versa. Additionally, most of the original soundtracks will be available in this new game. Unfortunately, not all of them are available due to licensing issues.
Playstation also unveiled the in-game photos of the newly added skaters:
