NFL icon Tom Brady is one of the most looked upon stars by the fans. On an episode of Spotify’s Drive Podcast, the NFL GOAT spoke about how he and his wife Gisele Bündchen raise their children. The 45-year-old talked about understanding the importance of living independently. Brady was speaking to host and Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley.

“We have people that make our food. We have people that drive us to the airport if we need that…we get off a plane and there’s people waiting there for us and we get ushered in. That’s my kids’ reality, which is the hard part to say, guys, this is not the way reality really is…what can we do about that?” Brady said. 

Tom Brady and the lessons of parenting

The NFL legend wants to keep his kids down to earth. He is well and truly aware of the privileged life they live.  “I think we can try to create experiences that are more along the lines of what most kids go through even though they will still have experiences that a lot of kids never do have.” He said. 

Brady also spoke about his daughter, Vivian Lake Brady. “That little girl owns my day — owns my life,” Brady told Entertainment Tonight. “Whatever she tells her dad to do, that’s what I do. That’s just the way it goes.”

What fans appreciated about Brady’s words is that he is not unaware of the privileges he is receiving and is thankful for his sport. He admits that living a celebrity life comes with a lot of missing from normal living. However, he does not want his children to get carried away with fame. 

Outside the game, the QB values privacy and personal space. He married Bündchen in a private ceremony. At that event, only 25 people got the invitation. They took extra security measures to not leak the wedding pictures.

Parenting and game responsibilities go hand in hand

Tom Brady often admitted that he misses his children while playing for the Bucs. However, what keeps him going is the passion and pleasure he gets while playing for his team.

Family is one pull factor that Brady values outside the game. The NFL legend admitted many times that spending time with children improves his game. Bucs fans will hope that Brady will bring home the ring again and make his children proud.
