Ahead of their Week 9 fixture against the New Orleans Saints, Tom Brady and Co. were on a hot streak in the league. However, things went from bad to worse in a matter of minutes for Bruce Arians’ side at the Raymond James Stadium on Sunday night.

The Buccaneers were dealt a massive blow as they suffered a nasty 3-38 defeat at the hands of their rivals and the reigning NFC South Champions.

The 43-year-old veteran, in particular, had a ‘forgettable’ outing last night. Brady threw 22 of 38, throwing for 200+ yards with 0 touchdowns. But the former New England Patriots talisman did throw 3 interceptions.

Stephen A. Smith takes multiple shots at Tampa Bay superstar Tom Brady

Popular American sportscaster Stephen A. Smith appeared on ESPN’s First Take earlier today. Here’s what he had to say with respect to Brady’s dismal display last night.

“Well, first of all, thank you for highlighting and you really illuminating the fact that you don’t listen to people because the fact of the matter is anybody that watched that game last night ain’t making any excuses about Tom Brady, he looked like straight garbage.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about. It’s going to make excuses for Tom Brady. After they got blown out in the fashion that they got blown out.

“He looked god awful…..How do you sit up there and rush the football five times when you’ve got a 43-year-old quarterback?” Smith said on the show.

Antonio Brown suffers nasty defeat on his Tampa Bay Buccaneers debut

There was major hype surrounding the return of veteran NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown. He made his Tampa Bay Buccaneers debut against the Saints on Sunday night.

However, his time in the middle did not bear much fruit as the Buccaneers embarrassed themselves in front of home fans.

On 3 receptions, Brown registered 31 yards as the Bucs fell to their third loss of the season. But Smith reckons that Brown’s failure to impress could be down to Brady’s insistence of throwing the player straight into action after a long time away from the big leagues.

“Here’s where I’m gonna blame Tom Brady, most of all, his first two interceptions. He targeted Antonio Brown, who just got there.

“Evidently, you thought that being in New England with him for one game was enough for you guys to have chemistry where you could sit up there and anticipate and he can anticipate accurately what you wanted to do at the quarterback spot as well, even though he hadn’t even had a full week of practice.

“As far as I’m concerned. I think that was a huge mistake,” Smith further added.
