The US wrestling contingent performed remarkably well at Tokyo Olympics 2020. Gable Steveson, David Taylor, and Tamyra Mensah Stock took home the gold medal in Japan. Steveson’s wrestling bout against Georgia’s Geno Petriashvili will be remembered for the late drama it created. In the meantime, the 2021 Senior World Championships will take place in Oslo, Norway as Mensah-Stock and 50kg category bronze medalist Sarah Hildebrandt, appearing in the competition.
Both wrestlers have made themselves available for the competition as they prepare to bring more glory to their country.

Tamyra Mensah Stock looks to dominate in Norway
These two wrestlers will get free access to the World Championships under the 2021 World Team Selection Procedures.
“The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Medalist, if competing at the same weight class, will receive the automatic selection to the 2021 World Team at that same weight.”
The Olympic gold medalist Mensah-Stock will compete in the 68kg women’s freestyle wrestling. Whereas, Hildebrandt’s entry would be in the 50kg category.

Similarly, four more Tokyo Olympic medalists will enter the Championships. Gold medalist for 86kg men’s wrestling-David Taylor, 97kg men’s category silver medallist- Kyle Snyder, Helen Maroulis who won the bronze medal in the 57kg women’s category, and finally, 74kg men’s category bronze medallist, Kyle Dake.
These wrestlers will once again look to show their dominance at the championships.

Schedule of the Championships
There are 10 weight classes for each category– Men’s freestyle wrestling, Women’s freestyle wrestling, and the Greco-Roman category. There’ll be 30 weight classes showcasing some of the best wrestlers in the world.
The men’s freestyle wrestling comprises 57 kg, 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg, 79 kg, 86 kg, 92 kg, 97 kg, 125 kg. Likewise, women’s freestyle wrestling comprises 10 weight classes as well- ?50 kg, 53 kg, 55 kg, 57 kg, 59 kg, 62 kg, 65 kg, 68 kg, 72 kg, 76 kg.
Finally, the Greco-Roman weight categories are as follows- 55 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 67 kg, 72 kg, 77 kg, 82 kg, 87 kg, 97 kg, 130 kg.

As usual, the US is expected to dominate the events after winning nine medals at Tokyo Olympics 2020. Mensah-Stock is an incredible wrestler as another gold medal beckons for her in Norway. Recently, the wrestler was in the limelight as she donated a food truck to her mother. A wonderful personality with incredible wrestling skills.
