After his sensational gold medal victory at Tokyo Olympics 2020, Gable Steveson is on top of the world. The lad from Gopher defeated Geno Petriashvili from Georgia in an epic contest. With 0.7 seconds on the clock, Gable came from behind to defeat the Georgian 10-8. Significantly, it was the first gold medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020 for Gable. The NFL team, Minnesota Vikings, are looking to sign him to play football.

Minnesota Vikings look to sign Gable Steveson
The Minnesota Gophers is one of the best colleges in the country. They won the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships three times in their history. But, Gable’s gold medal speaks volumes about his achievement. The Minnesota Vikings are now looking to win the race to sign Gable Steveson to add firepower to their roster.
The Vikings have won the NFL once, back in 1969, and will look to recruit the wrestler to improve their roster.

Earlier, the Vikings almost signed WWE superstar, Brock Lesnar, who was a football player himself. But the Vikings didn’t move forward with the deal while he only played some practice matches.
The signing of Gable would instantly make them a super team. Whether it happens remains to be seen.

Gable dominated at Tokyo Olympics 2020
The wrestler was in fine form during the Olympics. After defeating the Rio 2016 champion Taha Akgul, Steveson dominated his route to the finals by not giving up a point. But the final proved to be a sterner test for the wrestler despite the domination leading up to the finals.

But the ability to play in NFL looks promising for the wrestler. Joining Dalvin Cook and Kirk Cousins will boost the team’s chances to contend for the playoffs. Despite the offer from Vikings, the American wrestler may hope to win it again at Paris Olympics in 2024. The decision is his and it would be good for the NFL to have a gold medallist play football.
