The equestrian events continue at Tokyo Olympics 2020 with the Olympic team title competition, the next event. As the Olympic Games reach its anti-climax, nations are still competing against each other for their supremacy in equestrian sports. This comes after Jefferson suffered a minor strain during the finals of the individual competitions.
It comes as a blow to GB’s hopes of winning a gold medal for this event but not the end of the world. Other talented riders come in to claim their Olympic moment.

The news comes at the wrong time for Scott and Jefferson. The team will comprise Ben Maher, Holly Smith, and Harry Charles. Moreover, an insider issued a statement regarding the matter.
“In consultation with Scott, his valued owners, and our team vet, we have decided that it is in the horse’s best interests to withdraw from the competition as a preventative measure to avoid a more serious injury.”

“This is obviously a disappointment for Brash but the team is still going strong for Friday’s team competition and we thank Lady Harris and Lady Kirkham for their support during these Games and to the sport. Ben and Holly were always going to be on our team and it is great to have Harry join the trio at his first Games,” said an insider.
Even though it is a minor injury, the precautions taken are understandable considering the chances of aggravating the existing injury.
