This year’s 400-meter hurdles competition at the Olympics saw an incredible race. The athletes set the house on fire with their outstanding performances. The victory went to Karsten Warholm and Rai Benjamin from the USA finished second, both athletes completed the race inside the previous world record. Warholm was the current world record holder but Benjamin finished the race behind him with a record time as well. Now, the athlete will appear in the Nike Prefontaine Classic in a bid to win the gold. Intriguingly, he spoke about meeting a strange passenger en route to the venue.

Rai Benjamin meets a unique co-passenger

In a unique Tweet, Benjamin spoke about a stranger who was sketching and acted oddly.

What prompted him to tweet that is still unknown. Apparently, his Uber driver delayed his journey to the airport which caused him to miss the flight.

The interpretations can be endless. Maybe it’s a cryptic message for his competitors in the competition in Oregon. Funnily enough, this post got fans buzzing.

A weird, strange, and creative post but let’s just say he is keeping his mind of the event.

Benjamin looks to go big

The fantastic athlete from the USA claimed silver, giving competition to Warholm till the end. The Norwegian led the race and broke his existing world record by setting a time of 45.94 seconds. Likewise, Benjamin charged through the track and claimed silver by setting a time of 46.17 seconds.

The men’s 400-meter world record existed for a long time before it got smashed in the past few months.

In addition to these two athletes, five more national records were being set by different athletes in Tokyo. Brazilian Alison dos Santos came in the third position and took home the bronze in 46.72 seconds. It became a new South American record and the fourth-ranked fastest time in the competition’s history.

Heading to Oregon, Benjamin will look to break the hoodoo and finally win the gold medal for this competition. It will once again be a tough battle as different athletes are looking to take home the grand prize.
