With only few days for the January transfer window to close, rumors are getting more and more intense. Here is a quick round up of all the transfer news of the day.

The two richest clubs in the world, Manchester United and Real Madrid are set to fight for Atletico’s Bilbao‘s Aymeric Laporte. The 20-year-old, French centre-back has been repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks, with Guillem Balague suggesting the starlet would be open to joining United.

Whether that will affect their interest in David De Gea is another matter, though the Red Devils will not be pleased, should Carlo Ancelotti’s side muscle in on the Bilbao youngster.

1. The Mirror are reporting that Nathaniel Clyne is stalling on signing a new deal at Southampton amid interest from Manchester United. It is understood that the full back is happy to wait until the end of season to see where Saints finish in the season.
2.If rumors are to believed then Andre Schrulle might have played his last game for Chelsea, with Wolfsberg being the final destination for the German which will take him back to Bundesliga. Still only 24, he has failed to impress Jose Mourinho and has find chances hard to come by. A move does make a lot of sense.
3.Another one from Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea target Douglas Costa has requested his current club Shakhtar Donetsk not to price him out of the market on a dream move to join Jose Mourinho and company. The Ukrainian club is reportdetdly asking for a whooping 30 million pound for 24 year old Brazilian.
4.Robin van Persie has admitted about uncertainty at the club doubting if the Manchester United will keep him. His contract expires in 18 month.
5.Darren Fletcher has been told he can leave as a free agent. The Red’s vie captain has attracted interest from Valencia, West Ham and West Brom.
6.Matt Hummels has once again rebuffed any speculations of him moving away from Brossia Dortmund and saying that they will not distract him from helping BVB stay in Bundesliga.
“It’s not like those rumours are a new situation for any of us,” Hummels told Bild. “Also with me where rumours have continuously been spread — and I am still around.”
7.Another top player from Brossia Dortdmund who has been linked away from the club all month, Marco Reus has once again being linked, this time to Manchester City.
The Daily Star reported Manchester City are confident about landing the Borussia Dortmund star over Europe’s elite clubs.
8.Mario Balotelli‘s agent Mino Raiola has said that the striker is “happy” at Liverpool.
9.Antonio Cassano is considering retiring from football. The striker walked away from Italian club Parma on Monday. The striker claimed he hasn’t been paid for the past 7 months by the club amounting up to 4 million Dollars.
10.Philippe Mexes has been left out of AC Milan‘s squad to face Lazio in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night amid suggestions he could be sacked by the Serie A club.
If this happens, there could be a late chase by some clubs who need to strengthen their defence.
11.Mark Hughes has played down speculation he will be making a bid for Barcelona starlet Adama Traore after travelling to Spain to watch Barca’s B team.
The Stoke boss told Sky Sports: “I think you’re probably intimating from my trip abroad on a scouting trip, but I do that on numerous occasions. This one was highlighted a little bit readily. There is no significance. I’m always trying to see what talent is out there and whether or not it’s available.”
12.Bad news for Manchester United as Italian legend Andre Pirlo believes that Juventus team mate Paul Pogba may never come back to United. The 21 year old has been one of the top mid fielders in past 2 years, since leaving Old Trafford where just made 3 senior appearance for the club.
“For whatever reasons they chose not to give him a chance — and that is a mistake they will have to live with now,” the Daily Mail reports him as saying. “I can’t see that he [Pogba] will ever return to Manchester United.”

Charlie Lanson has signed for Spanish club Real Oviedo. He is quite unbelievably the only English player playing in La Liga!!
14.Atletico Madrid‘s Koke has rubbished any transfer possibility stating that he sees his life in red and white. The 23-year-old has been linked with both Manchester clubs.
15.From the other side of Madrid, reports from France and Spain claim that Real Madrid could launch a sensational 40 million pound bid for Brazilain David Luiz, if they lose any one of Pepe or Varane.
16.Liverpool can face a tough fight to keep Raheem Sterling as the contract talks between English International and the club have stalled. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are set launch a 26 million pound bid for 21 year old.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has thanked new Sampdoria striker Samuel Eto’o for his role at Goodison Park, telling the Toffees’ official website: “We thank Samuel for his efforts and for bringing his know-how to the team and to Finch Farm where he passed on some of his terrific experience to all of the young players in particular.

Germany under-19 international Jeremy Dudziak has signed his first professional contract at Borussia Dortmund.
The 19-year-old left-back was one of the surprises of BVB’s winter training camp, and has so far only played for the club’s reserve team. He had just entered the final six months of his old deal, and now has put pen to paper on a contract until 2018.
