Les Ferdinand has been appointed as the new director of football paving the path for the former spurs’ manager, Tim Sherwood, to take on the QPR job. Though the talks seem to have been finalized, an official statement is still awaited.
Another conformation from the Rangers indicates the departure of Joe Jordan and Glenn Hoddle, following in Redknapp’s footsteps.
QPR chairman Fernandes said: “I’ve been really impressed with the job Les has done in his short time here and as such I am keen for his role to evolve, with the clear mandate of assisting us in developing and evolving the footballing department, from the Academy to the First Team.”
Harry Redknapp has indicated that his two scheduled knee surgeries are the prime reason for him leaving the club.
