Mario Gotze has had a successful yet frustrating spell at Bayern since his arrival at the Allianz Arena in 2013 from Borussia Dortmund.
‘I’ve talked to Mario, of course we’ve talked in the dressing room and I fully appreciate that he might not be satisfied at Bayern Munich,’ said Muller.
Gotze has failed to hold down a first-team spot under Pep Guardiola with the likes of Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman ahead of him.
‘From a purely sporting point of view, of course you want to be on the pitch, you want to be showing the public what you can do.
‘But he jokes around, he is full of spirit, and in training we really dovetail on the pitch and in the club and this won’t go away in a hurry.’
The attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool this summer and Muller has hinted that a move is on the cards by suggesting Gotze’s unhappy with a lack of playing time at Bayern.
