Jens Pulver, the UFC legend and first-ever UFC lightweight champion, has finally received the recognition he deserves with his induction into the UFC Hall of Fame. Fans were thrilled to hear the news and many had been hoping it would happen sooner. Pulver had several stints inside the UFC, but his accomplishments go beyond just his time there.
Throughout his career, Pulver faced some of the biggest names in the sport. He was the lightweight champion at Pride FC and had memorable fights against BJ Penn, Urijah Faber, and Cub Swanson. These battles solidified Pulver’s place in MMA history and helped to establish him as one of the sport’s greats.
The induction into the UFC Hall of Fame has been a long time coming for Pulver, and he even began to think it might not happen at all. The reaction to the news was priceless. Moreover, the excitement of fans to see Pulver finally receive the recognition he deserves was evident in their reaction. This induction follows the recent induction of Jose Aldo into the Hall of Fame earlier in the year, further solidifying the importance of these legends in the sport’s history.

Pulver was once asked in an interview about his thoughts on not being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Despite universal support from fans, Pulver remains humble and takes it in stride. He thanks everyone for thinking of him, but doesn’t dwell on the matter. Pulver doesn’t think it will ever happen, but that doesn’t detract from the joy he feels knowing that he is still relevant in people’s minds.

He said, “I let it go. It always gets brought and here’s the only thing I could tell everybody is, thank you”
“If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. There’s nothing I can do.” He further added.
Pulver is grateful for the support, but he doesn’t let it get to him. He accepts the situation for what it is and doesn’t let it define him. He knows that there’s nothing he can do about it, and he’s okay with that. The fact that people are still talking about him and asking why he’s not in the Hall of Fame means the world to him, and he cherishes that recognition. He may not be in the Hall of Fame, but he’s happy to be remembered and appreciated by so many.
