After a nail-biting finish at US Open 2020 finals, both Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev have received worldwide appreciation. Though the former stood tall at the end and defeated the latter in a close contest, it is evident that both were winners. The latest to join the appreciation team is World No.1 and 17-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic.
It looked like the Serbian was closely following the US Open finals. But, it was really unfortunate to not see him there with the kind of form he was enjoying in 2020. Djokovic recently shared 2 pictures on his Twitter handle and wrote a message.

Later on, the World No.1 even made a video congratulating Dominic Thiem which ATP Tour shared on its twitter handle. “Congrats Dominic. You deserve it more than anybody else.”– began a joyful Djokovic.
“You won your first Grand Slam title in such an incredible fashion. You should be proud of yourself. I want to congratulate everyone your family and everyone who helped you reach here. Well done. Keep going. See you soon.”-said a proud Djokovic
Surely, one has done something really impeccable and impressive if he is receiving this kind of acknowledgment and gesture form the World no.1. Sportsmanship is the beauty of any sport. Apart from having some praiseworthy skills, it is this virtue that inspires the younger generation.
