Quite recently, Times Magazine named Simone Biles Athlete of the Year, honoring her brave step to walk out and choose herself. However, the Newsmax host triggered a lot of controversies after he said on live TV that Biles did not deserve this at all.

Greg Kelly attacked the legend by saying that she did not deserve the honor after quitting the Olympics. He proceeded to remind everyone about how she walked out. According to Kelly, the world has gone mad.

Greg Kelly is of the opinion that Biles walked out because she was in a “bad mood”.

Kelly seems to be one of those people who think that people quit because they are weak. He, however, forgot to consider the amount of struggle that Biles has gone through. So much so that, she had a case of the “twisties”. Biles as a trained athlete realized that it could be fatal for her to keep on going and decided to step down.

Times makes it clear why Biles rightly deserved the honor

Kelly additionally also thought that Biles lead her team down. He is of the opinion that Times magazine isn’t significant enough.

“This is, this is ridiculous, this is insulting, this is un-American in my opinion,” said Kelly.

However, Times magazine has made it clear why Simone Bikes deserved the honor. Biles took a brave step by prioritizing her mental health. According to Times, Biles ?made clear the importance of prioritizing oneself and refusing to succumb to external expectations.?

Simone Biles inspired thousands of other athletes when she took this brave step. They were now assured that even others were going through the same struggles, and it was okay to take a step back. Quitting doesn’t mean you are weak or fragile, it only means you will come back stronger.
