Sony’s PS5 solves the issue of loud cooling units?
Games nowadays are much more than just basic 2D or 3D animations. With huge production costs, every new game sets a new benchmark in realism, graphics, and performance. However, to run these games smoothly, players need high-end gaming rigs.
However, even with high-end devices, the hardware components can get heated when running demanding games. Hence, efficient cooling becomes paramount. Unfortunately, the cooling fans may become too loud in such cases. The PS4 is notorious for the noise its fan emits.
Fortunately, the PlayStation 5 has seemingly solved this problem. According to a Bloomberg report, Sony spent a lot of capital on the next-gen console’s cooling. Japanese publications, 4Gamer and Dengeki, also confirm this in their hands-on preview for the console. According to Dengeki, “the quietness of the fans was more impressive than the loading times.”
4Gamer has a parallel observation as it says, “I started playing one of the launch titles, Godfall, and after some time passed, I checked [the temperature]. The breeze coming from the exhaust port was gentle and didn’t feel exceedingly hot.”
With a strong cooling system, players can enjoy long hours of gaming without any noise or heating issues on the PlayStation 5.

Other noticeable features in Sony’s new console
The previews and some other reports also talk about the PS5’s size and internal memory. First and foremost, the size of the new console is huge compared to the current-gen PS4. The 4Gamer preview says,
“If anything, the main concern should be the size of the unit, so it’s necessary to ensure enough space both for the unit as well as ventilation. If you plan to replace your PS4 with a PS5, be sure to account for its size and prepare an additional space of 10 to 15 cm from the front, back, left, and right.”

According to some reports, the PS5 will only have an internal storage of 664 GB. This might be the biggest bone of contention for some fans who like to play multiple games and store them all together.
Based on all these sources, the PS5 certainly seems good, but far from perfect. However, the official release is still a month away and fans have enough time to make their choice. The console war continues!
