How Has the Break Been for Rafael Nadal
In a recent tweet by Tenis En Movistar, Rafael Nadal could be seen training at his academy. And his coach, Francisco Roig, talked about how the break from tennis has affected Rafa. He said, “The break to Rafa does not suit him. It doesn’t benefit him mentally or physically.”
This answer should not come as a surprise to anyone because of how long Rafa has been on the Tour. Since he turned pro in 2001, the Spaniard has played all tournaments according to the ATP calendar. And he has never been forced to take a break unless it was for injuries. So obviously this break will not suit him at all.

Now, many might be wondering for whom will the break prove beneficial? The answer to this question is players like Roger Federer, who have recently undergone surgery. They can use this break to fully recover from their injuries as they do not have the rush to play tennis again. And that is what they are probably doing.

Even though this break has benefited some players, no one is happy they got it. They want to see some tennis again but it is looking like there won’t be any tennis in 2020 as the suspension of the tennis season has already been extended four times. And nobody knows if it will be extended further.
The Tour is currently scheduled to return in August assuming the coronavirus is contained by then. Every single person will be hoping that it is so that they can see their favorite players like Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer play some amazing tennis again.
