A tweet that featured a two-month-old interview Ryan Garcia had with Patrick Bet-David has become the talk of the town. During the discussion, the former interim lightweight champion spoke about earthquakes happening in Las Vegas and California sometime in June. Hordes of fans, who, from the comments, appear mostly from ‘The Golden State’, took the opportunity to give some reality check.
The young boxer, one of the biggest names in the sport today, finds himself knee-deep in a doping controversy. On April 20, he scored a sensational victory over Devin Haney. But reports of him failing to clear both the primary and secondary drug tests have landed him at crossroads. Throughout, Ryan Garcia has claimed innocence of any wrongdoing.

The post from @FearedBuck read, “Two months ago, Ryan Garcia predicted that an earthquake will hit Las Vegas & California today, June 6th, 2024. There was just an earthquake in California now.” The half-minute-long clip shows Garcia joining Patrick Bet-David and a co-host on the ‘PBD Podcast’.
Two months ago Ryan Garcia predicted that an earthquake will hit Las Vegas & California today, June 6th, 2024.

So towards the end, Bet-David asked ‘KingRy’ about where he stood at mentally given the big battle against Haney was over. The young boxer replied, “Everybody expect me to just go into many different categories, um, in every different way, um, understand that you know Jesus is coming back, and I have predicted that there will be earthquake June 6th…LA and Vegas June…on June 6 of 2024, all right, that’s what I’mma leave it with.”
Some of the fans should be able to recall. A few months ago, TikTok and X/Twitter users came across a video that featured a tweet. Allegedly from Ryan Garcia, it specified a prediction about Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge tragedy. The message read, “Something bad is going to happen in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 26th, 2024.” A community note, though, mentioned that it was a ‘digitally altered tweet’.
But it’s something everyone already knows!
From most of the comments, it was apparent that fans and followers weren’t willing to buy Ryan Garcia’s prediction. Earthquakes as a natural phenomenon remain way too frequent for California, they maintained. Let’s check how a few of the users reacted to the footage.
Laughing out loudly at Ryan Garcia’s attempt, this user shared that no earthquake or related incident happened in Las Vegas. The one that occurred in California was insignificant, they stressed.
Nothing in Vegas tho and the Cali one was small…Like they have regularly lmao

If Garcia had stated something about New York, then this user added, it would have been a different story. Otherwise, even they could foretell that an earthquake would occur in California, a state well known for natural phenomena.
I can predict an earthquake will happen tomorrow cause it’s California, of course, it will happen. If he said New York different story

Echoing similar sentiments, this follower emphasized that earthquakes are a daily occurrence in California. It’s not something new, and it’s fairly easy for anyone to foresee. More so, not everyone experiences them equally, the follower said.
Bro. There are literally earthquakes every single day here in California. Some people feel them, some people don’t. But this is not new and was a prediction that literally anybody could have made. 🤦♂️

Smiling at Ryan Garcia, this user claimed that perhaps the Victorville-born ‘KingRy’ is not from California at all. The state witnesses earthquakes on a daily basis.
You’re obviously not from California, we have earthquakes every day 😂

Then the following user finds Garcia’s prophecy similar to them forecasting hurricanes in a state like Florida.

According to the California Earthquake Authority’s website, the southern part of ‘The Golden State’ itself faces nearly ten thousand earthquakes per year. But why? The state basically lies on an active tectonic boundary. Thus confirming small earthquakes. They are low in magnitude, ranging from nil to minimal damage. But the whole scene doesn’t discount the appearance of two to three big ones annually.

Back to the quagmire Ryan Garcia currently finds himself in. Troubles are yet to be over for the young boxer. His team had listed supplements tested for the presence of the banned substance ‘Ostarine’. They subsequently claimed that the test result came back positive! Thus, it supports their contention that the banned substance entered his body through ‘supplement contamination’. So what happens now? The case now rests with the New York State Athletic Commission. They will decide whether Garcia will face a ban on his boxing license. If so, then for how long? Will the Haney match verdict be overturned? Fans await answers to many questions.
