Infinity Ward brought in significant changes to Modern Warfare’s ranking system. The new leveling system is different from the previous ones in other Call of Duty titles. The developers abandoned the prestige system, and players are only allowed to reach a maximum level of 155. Moreover, players level down to the 55 marks at the start of each season.
Content creators, as well as players, have underlined the issues with the present rank progression system in the past. Whether Infinity Ward restructures the ranking system and brings in changes remains to be seen. Only time will tell whether players can showcase their ranks as a merit for extensively grinding the game.
