The Last of Us 2 is arguably the most talked-about game right now and has been so even before its release. The sheer amount of discussion among fans and haters alike has become one of the major factors adding to the insane sales figures the game saw. Of course, the graphics are one of the most notable aspects of this bestseller, but the reason for its huge popularity is the storyline.

To be honest, TLOU2 does have a quite moving storyline. Players have been practically deconstructing various tropes and plot points. They have been reading into the storyline to unearth something more than what meets the eye. Recently Mara, a junior lighting artist at A44 Games and a fan of the game, posted a tweet about the ending. It was a screenshot of a review of the game that points out a very intricate detail of the ending and what it could possibly mean.

Okay, something to consider here. The last fight is between Ellie and Abby; two characters who kind of complement each other. In Abby, Ellie sees someone who has had their revenge but still does not have peace of mind. Abby shows Ellie the futility of revenge. This might actually make sense, and hence, will the meaning suggested here. Ellie accepts Joel’s death and finds peace within herself.
