A heavyweight NCAA clash was on the cards Sunday night as two of the top teams went head-to-head at the Galen Center. The No.6 ranked USC hosted the Bruins in a high-octane Pac-12 contest. The game ended with the Trojans avenging their earlier loss to their crosstown rivals. Moreover, the battle went down the wire and it was Watkins’ brilliance that separated the two in the end.

Following this, the Trojans were later joined by none other than the legendary USC No. 31–Cheryl Miller. The two-time NCAA champion added the icing on the cake with her inspirational words in their post-game celebrations.

Veteran USC forward Cheryl Miller wasted no time in congratulating the Trojans on their gritty performance. Soon after the game, she visited the locker room to commend the USC on their clinical exhibition. Cheryl said, “You guys keep getting better and better. The best thing that I saw compared to the first game is your tightness. You guys trust each other. Even when things are rough, you all dig in together. Not one pulling each other, but you guys do it together. You share the ball, and defensively, you’re getting better.”

Cheryl Miller was among the few familiar faces in attendance to witness the Trojans ending the 14-game winning streak of UCLA. In addition to this, they also put an end to their nine-game losing streak to the Bruins. Miller further added, “The Bruins never saw it coming. They thought they were gonna roll in here and roll you guys. They have no idea what the women of Troy are made of.”
