A lot of players think that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now good for nothing. They believe the developers are not focusing on New Horizons’ current state and don’t take action on users’ complaints. However, it looks like 20th Century Studios has a different opinion than those players.

20th Century Studios will soon release a new video game movie, Free Guy. The movie is all about an NPC, Ryan Reynolds, who suddenly discovers the truth that they all are living inside a video game world. After constant disputes among other NPCs, he decides to write himself in as the hero. Here’s how 20th Century Studios decided to advertise their movie.

Free Guy movie posters spoof Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The release date of the Free Guy is already revealed and the marketing team decided on a unique way to advertise the movie. They created movie posters parodying popular video games and riffing on some iconic covers. Naturally, we saw a lot of posters like Super Mario 64, Mega Man for the NES, Among Us, Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, DOOM, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Although fans are constantly complaining regarding the lack of in-game content, 20th Century Studios know it is still one of the most popular games in the community. Therefore, making a poster of Free Guy featuring New Horizons will help the market team to gain a big audience.

Some are also wondering if we will see a crossover, but deep down, we know it’s far from reality. However, it was still amazing to see how adorable Ryan Reynolds was looking as an ACNH character. Not to mention the other posters were also quite amazing and looked very similar to the game’s actual posters.
