Every Call of Duty: Warzone player had their eyes set on Friday with the Battle of Verdansk. The live event became the franchise’s latest way to announce its upcoming title in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Fans loved the reveal trailer for the new game developed by Sledgehammer Games. However, many of them revealed their displeasure at the handling of the event, including streaming extraordinaire Dr Disrespect.

Doc experienced the Battle of Verdansk with his friend and fellow Warzone star, ZLaner. After its end, the two of them showcased their disappointment at the ‘weak event’ from the developers at Activision for handling the implementation quite poorly.

Dr Disrespect roasts the idea of blowing up a train in Battle of Verdansk

Doc arrived to play the Battle of Verdansk event with a lot of expectations. However, after a lot of confusion at the start, it seemed like he didn’t enjoy defeating the train at all. The event started off with a lot of confusion as players didn’t know what to do. However, many of them hated blowing up the train for a long time. They shot at it for a many minutes while dying a lot of times, and Dr Disrespect couldn’t help but make fun of this ridiculous idea.

“I feel like this is like a eleventh grade Gamejam project. Yeah, we’ve been shooting it for the past 15 minutes.”

After somehow exploding the train, he enjoyed the trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard. He has a lot of expectations for the new game with the arrival of maps, anti-cheat and many more. But, it seemed like he wanted more from the developers at Raven Software with the event, and it never arrived.

Doc unhappy with developer’s implementation of the Battle of Verdansk event

After he experienced the event, him and ZLaner decided to play Apex Legends, because there was nothing to do in Verdansk. However, he left the game with a parting statement about the event. He mentioned that he has high hopes for Call of Duty: Vanguard. But, he was disappointed with the developers’ approach to the event, and thought that they could have done it better.

“I always look forward to the new Call of Duty every year. But, in terms of like, how they revealed it through Warzone and the implementation of that. I thought that was a little weak.”

In the end, it seems like Dr Disrespect has given the thumbs up to Call of Duty: Vanguard. However, it remains to be seen if that will be the case with Warzone, and only time will tell if his interest for the Battle Royale title will increase again.
