TimTheTatMan hilariously explained the life of a streaming content creator. It is quite disheartening, but it is a reality in eSports. Whenever our favorite streamers shift games, due to whatever reason, we feel bad. While it is entirely natural, we also need to realize the only way to see gameplays of a new game, is when they choose to play it. There are several reasons why they shift games, that does not mean that they are betraying the previous game. While the community takes this quite seriously with their sense of childish loyalty, it needs to be done with.
“That game made you” – this statement is a repetitive one which pro gamers are sick and tired of. The fact is, none of these games can make or break anyone. They practiced, put in the time, work, and effort to be what they are today. In a way, it stands true that ‘they made the game what it is today.’ The eSports community is a tight-knit family, and the streamers create these contents for us. It can be quite disheartening to hear the words “this stream will die now” or variations of it. Just because the gamer shifted games, doesn’t mean their stream is going to die.

While it is going to be a part of the community, it is also essential that we address the problem. Throwing shade at any gamer because they changed games and are playing something new right now, is quite common. You may ask why do they change games, now direct that question to yourself, wouldn’t you do the same? The reasons can be several, perhaps to try a new game, or just to freshen up the content, or even boredom. Whatever the reason may be, it is absolutely not justified to say, “this stream is going to die, bro,/can’t wait for this stream to die.” That is just being rude and illogical.

Recently TimTheTatMan and Shroud faced off in a Valorant tournament.
Shroud, CouRage, FaZe Cizzorz, Tfue, everyone commented on TimTheTatMan’s tweet. It just shows how the eSports community unanimously agrees on this. The sad part of being a content creator is you may not always receive the love you deserve from your fans. However, there are still plenty of us out there who want to see these gamers try a new game or shift games from time to time.
