Former World Number one tennis player, Caroline Wozniacki, hung her tennis racquets last year at the Australian Open, and this year during the Happy Slam, the Danish star has announced her pregnancy.

Wozniacki and her husband, retired NBA player David Lee, are expecting a baby girl in June 2021. She announced it on Instagram by posting a picture of a slate containing the message and the scans of the baby.

The Dane received felicitations from numerous tennis professionals. Most importantly, her best friend Serena Williams also expressed her elation as she’s finally expecting a little sister for her daughter Olympia.

“Can’t wait for Olympia sister!!!” Serena along with other players commented on Caroline’s post. WTA star Wozniacki is super elated, and she’s impatient to deliver her first child.

 The 2018 Australian Open champion, Wozniacki, has been enjoying tennis action from her television screen since she bid goodbye to the sport. Recently, she was catching up on her best friend Serena Williams’ battle with Naomi Osaka during the exhibition event in Adelaide.

Before retiring from professional tennis, Wozniacki and Williams played doubles tennis together at Auckland Open. It was Caroline’s penultimate event on the women’s tour, and therein two good friends reached the finals.

Also, they produced some epic matches on the tour by playing against each other a total of 11 times in their careers. Caroline pulled off one victory against Serena at Miami Open 2012.

Her retirement from tennis was an emotional one. She was in tears after losing her third-round match against Ons Jabeur at Aussie Open 2020.

Caroline Wozniacki won 30 singles titles, and she held the World Number one ranking for 71 weeks during the span of her eventful career.
