Barty, who is returning to tennis after nearly 12 months, has a potential match-up with Petra Martic who is ranked No.18 and could pose a huge challenge to the home -favorite. Apart from her, Barty has no real challengers.
Moving on to Halep, she has a potential match-up with French Open champion Iga Swiatek. This will surely be a tough match for her, having had lost to her in Paris just a few months back.
Osaka has an even tougher path at this year’s Australian Open. She could potentially face two-time Major Champion Garbine Muguruza in the Round of 16 who is surely going to pose a huge threat.
Lastly, Sofia Kenin also has an easy draw like Barty. The only player who will worry her is Johanna Konta, and she could potentially face her in the fourth round.
