Doubles World Number two Kristina Mladenovic and the German coach Sascha Bajin parted ways in October 2019. Under his guidance, she won titles on the doubles circuit including a Grand Slam, but her singles tennis couldn’t take good shape. However, in the singles rubber, she held victories over World Number ones and multi-time Grand Slam champion.
Summarising her tenure under Sascha Bajin, singles World Number 42 Kristina Mladenovic divulged that the German coach made things complicated for her. He did not add value to her performance on the WTA circuit.
Presently Kiki is trying under her younger brother Luka Mladenovic. She is contented to practice with her younger brother and apparently he is well-versed with the technicalities of the game.

“It definitely was a tough first round and a tough draw for me,” Pliskova said after defeating Mlandenovic. “In the end, I think it was a good test to start with such a high-quality match. I know Kiki very well since we were both a young age, so I knew it was going to be tough. We had some good matches in the past. It was especially tough mentally in the second set, but I’m happy to be through.”
Mladenovic is yet to start her doubles venture alongside Timea Babos. The defending finalists are seeded second in the Aussie major.
In 2019, on the doubles tour, Mladenovic and Babos won the WTA Finals 2019 title. They were the top-seeds in New York and reached the quarterfinals at the US Open 2019. They lifted up the title at Roland Garros and were also victorious at Istanbul Open.
