Eugenie Bouchard is a player who is capable of producing some incredible performances on the court. After all, she is a Grand Slam finalist, and she proved her mettle with a stunning winner at the WTA Challenger event in Prague.

Eugenie Bouchard was playing Renata Zarazua, who put her on the defensive by hitting a flawless return on her serve. It looked like the Canadian would lose the point until she pulled off an absolute miracle. She hit a beautiful passing shot to steal the point from Zarazua, but sadly, there were no fans to appreciate it.

The Eugenie Bouchard Comeback

Back in 2014, Genie played some of her best tennis. She made it to the final of Wimbledon and in addition to that, she reached a career-high ranking of World No. 5.

Sadly, things took a steep fall from there and the Canadian lost her position at the pinnacle of tennis. However, things may finally be looking up it looks as she seems to be on the comeback trail.

Before the Challenger, Bouchard played the WTA Prague Open. She beat some of the top seeds and made it to the quarter-finals. However, she suffered a defeat there but her quality of tennis was extraordinary and according to her, she was able to play like this thanks to the pandemic.

While the pandemic has affected a lot of people negatively, Genie was able to use it to her advantage. In quarantine, she had a lot of time, which she usually didn’t get due to the WTA calendar.

She honed her craft, and the results were evident in Prague. Hopefully, she will continue to play like this and return to the Top-10 as soon as possible.
