The 2020 tennis season was a terrible one for the sport due to the pandemic. Many events had to be canceled and in the events that were played, we saw some very bizarre moments. Here are some of those moments which involve various players like Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

Novak Djokovic and others feature in the bizarre moments from 2020
The video showcases some of the most bizarre moments from 2020. Starting off this list was the umpire at the 2020 Italian Open. In Novak Djokovic’s match, he confused the Serb’s name with his rival Roger Federer’s. Unfortunately for him, this moment did not go unnoticed.
Moving on, Nick Kyrgios and Daniil Medvedev also feature on this list. Nick was featured because he fell to the ground after a tiring point against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Medvedev made the list as he didn’t celebrate even after beating Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem to win the ATP Finals! Many would have surely found this bizzare.

In the video, there were also some controversial moments that were featured. Two of those moments involved the use of the underarm serve by Davidovich Fokina and Bublik. Their opponents were very angry and went on a rant against them.
Another controversial moment featured Novak Djokovic in the ATP Cup. In his match, he crossed the net for an easy volley, and hence, the umpire took away the point. An argument ensued, but eventually, Djokovic lost the point.
Finally, topping the list for the most bizarre moment of 2020 was a foot fault. To challenge this foot fault, VAR was used, but it was unfortunately not visible on the big screen. To convince himself, the player climbed onto the umpire’s chair to see the VAR. It was a hilarious moment, and fans would have surely enjoyed watching it.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there wasn’t a lot of tennis this year. However, clearly, there were still some bizarre and hilarious moments in the year and we will continue to see them in the future.
