While Novak Djokovic is one of the best players on the ATP Tour, he also has a funny side to him. Over the years, the Serbian earned the nickname ‘Djoker’ for the several hilarious moments he gave to fans.
In recent years, social media changed the way athletes interact with players, with a more personal feel now prominent. Ahead of his opening match at the US Open, the World No. 1 posted a story on Instagram where he attempted playing the saxophone.

Novak Djokovic plays a saxophone ahead of US Open
The Serbian is enjoying quite a successful 2021 season so far. With the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon in the bag, Djokovic arrives in Flushing Meadows as the top seed once again. Although he couldn’t taste gold in the Tokyo Olympics, the Serbian remains a popular favorite to clinch the title this year.

Prior to his opening match, Djokovic took to Instagram to share a story of him playing the saxophone. Dressed in a Serbia T-Shirt with shorts and sunglasses, the 34-year-old began playing the instrument in comical fashion.

Along with some tunes, the World No. 1 also gave a quick shake of the hips before ending the video.

Djokovic to face Holger Rune in US Open first round
The Serbian begins his quest for a record-breaking 21st Grand Slam with a match against Danish qualifier Holger Rune. This will be the first meeting between the two players in their professional careers.

Although this is Rune’s maiden appearance in the main draw, expect Djokovic to advance to the second round later today.
