Djokovic’s dominance at the ongoing Wimbledon Championships is a sight to behold. Although his opening match with Jack Draper went to four sets, he won the next three matches leading to the quarterfinals in straight sets.
With the Tokyo Olympics later this summer, and the US Open after that, Djokovic is on course to claim a calendar Golden Slam. However, three-time Wimbledon champion McEnroe thinks the Serbian could lose at the upcoming Olympics, which would derail him.
He said,?“This is my personal opinion, he’s going to lose at the Olympics. Maybe someone can surprise him and then it will wake him up for the US Open and he’ll win it all which will be monumental.”
In addition, the American also pointed out that Federer and Nadal couldn’t achieve the same feat either, which puts more pressure on the World No. 1. “By the way, Federer or Nadal haven’t done it either. It’s been 50-odd years since Rod Laver did it in 1969,”?said McEnroe.
