Watching Novak Djokovic play is a sight to behold for tennis fans. While the Serbian competes at Wimbledon, the return of fans to the iconic All England Club creates a different experience altogether.

However, getting tickets for the event is a lot harder than it may seem. Recently, British snooker player Ben Woollaston shared his experience on watching Djokovic at Centre Court a few days ago.

Woollaston will compete in the British Open, which is part of the World Snooker Tour next month. Ranked #46 in the world, the Briton looks forward to the tournament welcoming fans to watch him play.

Recently, Woollaston watched Djokovic play his fourth round match against #17 seed Cristian Garin. While the Serbian comfortably won in straight sets, Woollaston watched the match unfold just near the Royal Box where he got seats.

Despite visiting Centre Court a few times before last Monday, the Briton admitted he never watched the World No. 1 play. He said, “I?ve been on centre court before and seen Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Andy Murray, but Novak Djokovic is my favourite player by a mile and I?d never seen him play.

“He doesn?t get all that much support from the crowd, but it was amazing for me to see him for the first time.”

Woollaston: Kept refreshing the website to get seats

Getting seats at Wimbledon is never easy, especially when several fans are attempting to book them online. With the excitement of fans returning to Wimbledon, Woollaston recalled how he managed to get the seats he wanted.

He said,?“I kept refreshing the website all day to get the seats. You have to pounce the second they become available, otherwise you will miss out. I had about a dozen goes at it before being successful.

“I remember there was one year where there were 300,000 people online trying to get just 3000 tickets, although I actually did get one that year.”
