Many consider Lewandowski to be one of the best strikers in the modern game. Since moving from Borussia Dortmund to Bayern Munich in 2014, the Polish forward scored 205 goals in 221 appearances. With a natural ability to score goals with his head and both feet, the 33-year-old helped the iconic German club seal several titles.

During an interview with Spox, Medvedev spoke on several aspects of his love for Bayern Munich. When asked who his favorite player in the current team is, the Russian revealed it was Lewandowski. While admitting it was an obvious choice, he lauded the Polish striker’s approach to his game by saying he tries the same in tennis.

The Russian said“It is too obvious but I have to say Lewandowski. I just love how he works on his game and on his fitness. I admire that. Also his mental approach. Back in the time you could only follow the players on the pitch, now we have the chance to follow them on Instagram and see what they do.

“I have so much respect for Lewandowski and what he does with his body. I try to have the same approach in tennis. What you do outside of the court plays a huge role for your success on the court. “
