Although Luque hasn't talked much about his relationship status, his social media accounts reveal that he is currently married to Carolina Silveira, who is a professional photographer. 'The Brazilian American's' wife also showcases her work through an Instagram account named 'carolsilveira_photos'.

She also runs her own website named 'www.carolsilveira.com' to promote her snapshots. Silveira was born and brought up in the Brazilian capital, Brasilia. Her mother's name is Terezinha Silveira and she also has a brother named Daniel, who currently works as a computer scientist in Brazil.

The couple reportedly began dating at around 2009. But, their relationship came into the limelight in 2014 after Silveira started uploading their snaps on her own Instagram account named 'carolsilveira'. The couple decided to tie the knot in 2019 after almost dating for a decade.

They also had their first child in the year 2021 and named him Bento. He adorns a number of snaps on both of his parents' Instagram accounts. The pair has also been well into social work with their organization 'The Silent Project'. This initiative's main goals are to influence teenagers' lives and help kids all over the world through talks, seminars, workshops, and donations.

Luque showcased super prowess right from the early days of his professional MMA career. He amassed a record of 7-4-1 while competing in various promotions in Brazil. However, he made his entry into the UFC with the finale of 'The Ultimate Fighter 21' against Michael Graves on 12 July 2015.

Fights

Luque made his UFC debut in December 2015 at UFC on FOX: Dos Anjos vs. Cowboy 2, where he avenged his loss against Hayder Hassan, which he suffered in the semi-finals of 'The Ultimate Fighter 21'.

He then claimed three back-to-back wins before suffering a loss against Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night: Manuwa vs. Anderson. Following that, 'The Silent Assassin' claimed six back-to-back victories before suffering another loss against Stephen Thompson at UFC 244. 'Wonderboy' showcased his domination in the fight and earned a rightful unanimous decision victory over Luque.

Since then, the currently #10 ranked UFC Welterweight has won four and lost 2 out of his six fights. Although his victories also contain a win over the former UFC Welterweight king, Tyron Woodley. The two consecutive losses in his two previous outings against Belal Muhammad and Geoff Neal might have him desperate for a victory against 'RDA' on 12 August.

Injury

Luque suffered a gruesome injury during his UFC Vegas 59 bout against Geoff 'Handz of Steel' Neal on 6 August 2022. The Nevada Athletic Commission termed it as a "brain bleed" and suspended him from competing after that bout. Neal landed a number of strong blows on Luque's temple causing this gruesome injury.

On 25 July, 2023, 'MMA Junkie' reported that Luque had been cleared by the NAC to compete inside the octagon once more. He will be taking on dos Anjos at UFC Vegas 78 after a long timeout of a full year from competing.
