Quinn Ewers NIL Deal in 2024: Career, High School and More

Quinn Ewers isn’t just another quarterback—he’s a game-changer. Credited for record-breaking performances at Southlake Carroll and a history-making performance in Big 12, Ewers remains the epitome of the future of football. And with million-dollar NIL deals and a Texas-sized legacy in the making, the sky's the limit for this young star. Quinn Ewers is here to stay, whether he’s throwing touchdowns or cashing checks.

Quinn Ewers’ Early Life and High School Career

The Texas high school football sensation was born on the 15th of March 2003 in San Antonio and raised in Southlake, where football isn’t just a game—it’s a way of life. From a young age, it was clear Ewers had something special. Before he entered middle school, coaches noticed him and in the sixth grade, Graham Harrell offered him a football scholarship. It is however at Carroll High School that Ewers started showing some of the best traits as a player and this was under the guidance of coach Riley Dodge. This kid was not merely "playing" football; he was changing the script.

During the sophomore season, he was able to throw for 3998 yards and 45 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions. That is video game numbers, man. He led Southlake Carroll to the Texas 6A Division I quarterfinals, showing everyone that he was the real deal. In 8 games he played last year before his junior year was ruined by an injury, he racked up 2,442 total yards and 28 touchdowns. They went on to play in the Texas State Championship Game and even when he was hardly moving due to the injuries, Ewers was a force to reckon with.

Quinn Ewers’ High School Achievements and Recruitment

To say that Quinn Ewers was good would be an understatement: he was the very best. During his junior year, recruiting services even ranked him as the best overall prospect for the year, before his senior year. Still, it should be pointed out that he was the first quarterback since Vince Young to achieve a perfect 1.000 rating on the 247Sports.

Ewers committed to Texas in August 2020, and Longhorn fans started hoping for another Vince Young re-run. But greatness, any story of greatness, is not without hitches. He exited the Longhorns program in October 2020 and in November of the same year joined the Buckeyes team. The Buckeyes were getting a certified stud.

Quinn Ewers’ College Career: Ohio State (2021)

Ewers did not sit and just wait. In August 2021 he joined Ohio State and trained during the inter-season camps although he joined the team mid-season. He only spent a season with Buckeyes, his first start was recorded on November 20, 2021, against Michigan State where he took two direct snap in a rout win. It was not much he says, but it made him get some feel of what it was like to play in the majors.

But sometimes, things do not go as you wish them to go. Ewers then thought better of it and realized that Columbus was not the place he wanted the focus to go to, so in December 2021, he entered the transfer portal and returned to Texas. Longhorns fans cheered as Quinn Ewers was returning to where he was always meant to be.

Transfer to Texas and Career Highlights (2022–Present)

In 2022 Ewers was named the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns team. Talk about pressure, right? Still, Ewers was a brilliant trooper about it. In the sophomore year, he did well on the field; he attempted 272 of 394 passing, achieved 3,479 yards, recorded 22 touchdowns, and 6 interferences. He even is credited with five rushing touchdowns. Yet the icing on the cake of a high-profile season was when he set the Big 12 Championship pass configuration record and he was rightfully given the MVP title, which proved true to the hype.

Quinn Ewers’ Notable Accomplishments and Awards

Here’s a player compiling impressive numbers, but doing more than that, he’s leaving a legacy in the Garden State. He was able to achieve exactly 5,656 passing yards and place eighth in passing touchdowns in the history of Texas with 37 passing touchdowns. He is also a laureate of many awards; in particular, he was announced a Phil Steele Preseason Fourth-Team All-America, as well. He also made the lists for honorary trophies such as the Davey O’Brien Award and the Maxwell Award.

Though 2023 was somewhat special for him; he was able to qualify for the semifinalist position for the Davey O’Brien Award, intended for the best college quarterbacks. Besides his achievements in the sporting field, Ewers made the team of the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team for his academic performance. Alongside the persuasion he has displayed in his track, this strongly underlines him as a complete student-athlete by performance in track and academics.

Quinn Ewers’ Personal Life and NIL Deals

But the world is much more than football. He is also a born Christian and his religious stand is very influential in his way of life. But let’s discuss the dollar bills for a moment—this man was the first amateur athlete to sign a six-figure NIL deal. That’s not pocket change. Fortunately, for him, as of 2024, NIL has been valued way too high, with multiple deals bringing in the big bucks.

Ewers was also featured as the cover athletes for EA Sports College Football 25. This just shows how big his name has gotten, not just in Texas but across the country.
