Early Life
He was born in Davis, California on November 30th, 1994. Likewise, he got raised in a Rastafarian household alongside four siblings and was home-schooled from an early age. His parents then later purchased an indoor skateboard park where he honed his craft. Due to his incredible skill, the skateboard company named Element sponsored him for some time. However, his father relocated to Puerto Rico in an instant. The situation went out of hand as Nyjah's mother divorced his father while moving back to California. He later resumed his skateboarding career from there.

However, still learning his trade, he left the company and founded his own company called I&I which focused on making skateboard decks. Soon as the company was founded, things went out of hand as the company flopped; while returning to Element and competing for them. Soon after, he became a household name in the skateboarding scenario with many medals in various competitions. By winning the gold medal at the 2013 X Games Street League contest, he made a name for himself in the world of skateboarding.
