The daughter of Leonard Francois(Haitian) and Tamaki Osaka (Japanese), Naomi Osaka was born on October 16, 1997, in Osaka, Japan. Up until the age of three, Naomi lived in Japan before relocating to the US. Before moving to Florida in 2006, she resided in Long Island, New York.
Naomi's father was inspired by watching the Williams sisters play at the 1999 French Open.
