Lonzo Ball was born in Anaheim, California, on October 27, 1997. He attended the Chino Hills High School in California, where he won several accolades as a basketball player.
Ball graduated from high-school and was ranked as the #1 point guard in the 2016 class. He attended college at UCLA and represented the Bruins for one year. In his freshman season, Ball was named as a consensus first-team All American.
In 2017, the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him with the second overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2018, even though his rookie season was plagued with shoulder and knee injuries.
After the 2018/19 season, he was traded to New Orleans Pelicans in a mega-deal that involved bringing Anthony Davis to the Lakers. In the next two seasons, Ball certainly showed glimpses of why he was the third overall pick in the 2017 draft as he became an incredible playmaker and improved his jump shot significantly.
While Ball has developed into a great point guard, the Pelicans certainly couldn't keep hold of their star guard. In the off-season, the Chicago Bulls splashed the cash and added the 23-year-old.
Set to play alongside the likes of Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan, Ball and the Bulls will hope that they can make a solid push to make it to the playoffs.
