Born on the 9th of September 1986 in Manaus, Brazil, to José Aldo da Silva Oliveira Sr. and Rocilene Socorro Souza, Aldo Jr. rose from the favelas of Brazil to superstardom. He defended his belt seven times and earned wins over the likes of Chad Mendes, Frankie Edgar, Kenny Florian, and Chan Sung Jung.
He lost his UFC featherweight championship belt to Conor McGregor?via knockout at UFC 194. His last fight saw him beat Marlon Vera via a unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs Neal.
