Jedrzejczyk fought Michelle Waterson in 2019 and won the fight. What came after the Waterson fight was the blockbuster fight against former women's strawweight champion Zhang Weili for her title. The match was one of the most interesting fights in the UFC's history. However, Jedrzejczyk lost the fight via a split decision and left the octagon with a deformed face.

Nevertheless, Jedrzejczyk issued an apology afterward.
