Professional career

Jin Young Ko turned pro in 2013 at the age of 18. Between 2014 and 2017, she recorded 10 wins on the LPGA of Korea Tour. She eventually joined the LPGA Tour in 2018. That year, she appeared in 25 events on the big Tour, missing just one cut and finishing in the top 10 in 13 starts.

So far in her career, she has won on the LPGA Tour a total of 15 times and has had several stints at the helm of the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings. During the 2023 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the South Korean golfer broke Loren Ochoa's record by spending a total of 159 weeks as World No. 1.

Her caddie is David Brooker, who is one of the most renowned bagmen in the game. He has previously been on the bags for the likes of Lorena Ochoa, Suzann Pettersen, and Paula Creamer. Their partnership came about in 2019 after Ko's agency got in touch with Brooker.
