Eddie Hearn is a British boxing promoter and the current Managing Director of the promotional company, Matchroom Sport. The 41-year-old promotes several world champions and has some of the biggest names in the sport under him at Matchroom Boxing.
These include the likes of unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, Luke Campbell, undisputed women’s lightweight champion Katie Taylor, Vasyl Lomachenko, Dillian Whyte, Billy Joe Saunders, Oleksandr Usyk. He also serves as co-promoter for WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney and Gennady Golovkin.
Eddie Hearn had a tough time in academics and started off working in telesales. This gave him the understanding that he had the necessary tools to make a career as a boxing promoter.

Hearn found his way into management in the golf world. Later, he returned to Matchroom and has not looked back.
Eddie Hearn promoted heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko's final fight at a famous British soccer stadium- Wembley. The event drew a crowd of over 90,000 people and saw 'AJ' ascend in the heavyweight boxing scene as he added the WBA (Super) and WBO titles to his IBF belt.
A year later, Hearn secured a deal to propel his talent on the other side of the pond. Matchroom and DAZN signed a deal worth $1 billion to broadcast Matchroom boxing events.
Furthermore, the promoter was behind the infamous KSI vs Logan Paul boxing fight that drew the attention of casual fans and entertainment aficionados to the squared circle.
Hearn provided an innovative idea to host fights amid the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The Matchroom managing director set up a Matchroom Fight Camp and literally hosted fights in his garden.
His numbers will reach new heights in 2021 as he gears up to host the two-fight deal between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this fight can not be held in the UK. However, Hearn is planning to take the fight abroad.
Other than this, Hearn has a busy 2021 boxing schedule planned. He is aiming to make up for the lost time in 2020. Apart from planning a number of events, the Englishman has plans of securing the services of Canelo Alvarez.

Matchroom has set up its own charitable foundation and used its sporting income to help further sports as well as community charities.
As per their policy, $1.32 of every Matchroom ticket sale will form part of the foundation's contribution.
In June, they made a donation to Jessie May Trust to help them cope with the coronavirus crisis that has gripped the entire world.
Later he visited the Yianis Christodoulou foundation. The initiative was set up to give back to the community. Hearn helped deliver food parcels, help children, and cover books.
