David de Gea
Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He kick-started his career at Atletico Madrid, at the youth club. Then, in 2009-10, he was called up to the main team after first choice keeper, Sergio Asenjo went for international duty. It wasn?t long until de Gea was promoted to first choice goalie. Around 2010, his performances started to earn critical acclaim and rumours floated of him being eyed by Manchester United as Edwin van der Sar?s successor. Finally in 2011, after much speculation, David de Gea finally decided to hit the Premier League, with Manchester United. Since then, he has been an integral member of the Red Devils.
