What is Call of Duty Vanguard?

Call of Duty Vanguard is Activision's upcoming first-person shooter. The game is set to release on November 5th, 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and on Battle.net for PC players.

Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind Call Of Duty: Vanguard, previously developed both Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call Of Duty: WW2.

Vanguard is set during the time of the Second World War. As you progress through the game, you will get to experience the war on all four fronts. Namely, the Western and Eastern European fronts as well as the South Pacific and North African front.

Price and Pre Order

Call of Duty: Vanguard is now available to pre-order on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Battle.net. Vanguard will be available to players in three different varieties.

Firstly, the Standard Edition which costs $59.99 and gives you basic access to the game and the variety of modes. Those who wish to shift between the current and previous generation of the game can upgrade to the Cross-Gen Edition which costs $69.99.

Lastly, Ultimate Edition offers players more value and a host of rewards across multiple games. For the price of $99.99 you will have access to :

  • Task Force One Pack with three Operator Skins and three Weapon Blueprints with Tracer Rounds

  • Battle Pass Bundle (one Season Battle Pass with 20 Tier Skips)

  • Ten hours of Double Experience Points (2XP), comprising of five hours of Double XP, and five hours of Double Weapons XP

Gameplay

The campaign mode will allow players to experience old-school combat while learning the stories of war heroes that formed Task Force One and set the stage for Special Forces.

During the campaign, players will get to play with four characters. These include:

  •  Private Lucas Riggs, 20th Battalion, Australian 9th Infantry Division, British Eighth Army.

  • Sergeant Arthur Kingsley of the 9 Parachute Battalion, British Army.

  •   Lieutenant Wade Jackson, Scouting Squadron Six, United States Navy.

  • Lieutenant Polina Petrova of the 138 Rifle Division, Red Army.

Multiplayer

Call of Duty games are typically beloved for their multiplayer experience and it is no different with Vanguard. The game will feature 20 multiplayer maps in total. 16 of them will be made for core modes such as Team Deathmatch and Hardpoint. A new 2v2 Gunfight mode is coming to the game and can be enjoyed on the four remaining maps.

Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone

Similar to the recent Call of Modern Warfare, Vanguard will also be integrated into the Warzone storyline. As of now, Raven Software has teased a Pacific map based on the new game. However, we can also expect to see the weapons from Vanguard adapted to the battle royale mode.

Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies

The latest Call of Duty game will feature their first crossover-zombies mode as it is developed by Treyarch. It will build upon the current Dark Aether storyline while maintaining the core gameplay aspects.
