Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
What started in 2019 as a rebooted series for Modern Warfare quickly spawned a lot of hype in the subsequent years. Following the events of the title, fans knew there was more to come, and Activision acquiesced. First, with Modern Warfare 2 in 2022, and now with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Activision has a brand new installment in one of its most successful franchises of all time, with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 building on its successors. With the way Infinity Ward left things at the end of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, fans knew the next game had to be close.
Activision and Sledgehammer Games have been pumping out content for fans, showcasing bits of the story, the mechanics, and the highly-anticipated Zombies mode ahead of release.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 campaign and Early Access
The campaign remains the focal point of this series. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 campaign picks up right where Modern Warfare 2 left off. The real talking point is the characters in the game. Fan-favorite villain Vladimir Makarov and his Ultranationalists are back in this installment.
Fighting them, Modern Warfare 3 will have Task Force 141 led by Captain John Price, with Simon "Ghost" Riley, John "Soap" MacTavish, and Kyle "Gaz" Garrick. With Makarov involved, fans know there is something big brewing with the plot. The popular yet dark 'No Russian' mission is seemingly making a comeback, much to the combined horror and anticipation of fans.
The Campaign will continue to be under the spotlight, especially since Makarov is involved. The bigger twist, however, will be with the way story quests play out. The new Open-Combat Mission system brings a host of new opportunities that allow different playstyles to thrive. It brings a completely unique angle to a traditional Call of Duty Campaign approach.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Beta
As with any Call of Duty game, the Beta period remains constant. This year, it has become crucial since Modern Warfare 3 will see a lot of changes. With Sledgehammer Games taking over the reins, tons of sweeping changes have been made to the multiplayer mode. Maps from 2009?s original Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be making a comeback, only this time with upgraded graphics.
Adding on to it, the multiplayer mode will see a change in movement mechanics. With features such as slide-cancel coming back, movement will be significantly faster this year. That is not the only thing changing with Multiplayer. The new perks system will also witness a massive overhaul. These changes are the most important updates coming to the mode, with Sledgehammer looking to take players' feedback from last year?s Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mode
The introduction of Zombies is a big addition to this year's title. Modern Warfare never had a zombie mode. Zombies are always featured in Treyarch?s Black Ops titles, but it seems Sledgehammer is bringing them into the universe of Modern Warfare this year.
Task Force 141 will be present in the Zombies mode, with Soap seen in the recent trailer. He will be part of a crucial mission called Operation Deadbolt. A new character known as Selma Greene will be the leader of this operation involving. Apart from Soap, it will also involve Kate Laswell and Captain Sergei Ravenov. The latter has returned from the last Black Ops game Cold War.
Now, the real question will be what Sledgehammer brings to the table with the iconic Zombies experience. Fans will have to wait till full release to see what?s in store for them with the brand-new open-world mode.
