On May 29, 2019, Bronny James embarked on a new chapter by enrolling at Sierra Canyon School, a prestigious K–12 institution in Chatsworth, Los Angeles. This marked the beginning of his freshman year in high school. There, he was joined by Zaire Wade, the son of father and NBA superstar LeBron James' longtime friend, Dwyane Wade.

After spending a significant four years at Sierra Canyon High School. Bronny James made an important decision for his college basketball career. Among his finalists, which included Ohio State and Oregon, he ultimately chose to commit to the University of Southern California (USC). This choice meant that James would remain close to home, in the same city as his father. At USC, he is pursuing a Business Administration major.

Bronny James is the eldest son of 4x NBA Champion LeBron James and Savannah James. His younger brother Bryce James is a high school athlete who plays for Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. His younger sister Zhuri James is 9 years old and is a fashion enthusiast. 

Bronny is reportedly dating Peyton Gelfuso. He went to prom with her and shared a snap on social media giving steam to dating rumors. However, nothing is certain yet.

Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest during a practice session on July 24 this year. The 18-year-old incoming freshman was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and was released three days later.

Over four years at Sierra Canyon, Bronny James showcased his skills as a tenacious guard with a strong defensive presence. During his freshman year, he logged minutes in all 34 games, contributing 4.1 points per game. Unfortunately, a knee injury sidelined him for a significant part of his sophomore season. However, his junior year saw a resurgent Bronny leading Sierra Canyon to the regional finals, averaging 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game.

In his senior year, he further elevated his game, recording impressive statistics of 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game. These stellar performances earned him a spot in the prestigious McDonald’s All-American Game, a notable achievement despite Sierra Canyon's underwhelming 23–10 record.

Bronny is now poised to make his mark at the collegiate level with USC. The 18-year-old star is also expected to declare for the NBA in the 2024 draft class.

On October 10, 2022, Bronny signed a NIL endorsement deal with Nike, making him one of the five amateur basketball players to do so. The Nike sponsorship for Bronny James doesn't come as a surprise, considering his father, LeBron James, has been a Nike athlete all his professional career. With LeBron signing a lifetime $1 billion contract with Nike in 2015, it's only fitting for Bronny to extend his basketball journey in his father's footsteps.
